Nihilism isn’t a foregone conclusion. Nihilism is more of a threat than anything. Maybe it’s a well-advanced threat. Maybe it’s terminal. But to discuss this, we’d have to do philosophy. Fun fact: we’re doing it already.

Even your reductive boner for context has been extensively worked upon and grappled with by philosophy since its inception. Often, philosophers lose out. Maybe they always have. Maybe they always will. The pull of the void is strong. And we can do philosophy about this pull, about this void. And then, many orders of thought deeper than your anti-thinking stoner-hermeneutics about relativism and contextual meaning, we’d be doing existential philosophy, even existentialism proper.
